Description of Work:

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of:

Division One Part A:  Approximately 10,182 linear feet of 8-inch water line, 30,710 linear feet of 6-inch water line, 1,195 linear feet of 4-inch water line and 25 linear feet of 2-inch water, complete with appurtenances.

Division One Part B:  Approximatey 896 linear feet of 10-inch water line, 13,269 linear feet of 8-inch water line, 28,071 linear feet of 6-inch water line, 295 linear feet of 4-inch water line and 275 linear feet of 2-inch water line, complete with appurtenances.

Division One Part C:  Approximately 12,743 linear feet of 8-inch water line, 20,919 linear feet of 6-inch water line and 30 linear feet of 2-inch water line, complete with appurtenances.

Division Two:  One 150,000 gallon elevated water tank including site work, valve pit, access road, piping, existing valve replacement and appurtenances. 

Time allotted for construction is 365 consecutive calendar days for Division One or any part and 365 consecutive calendar days for Division Two.

Roadway and drainage improvements including the installation of approximately 1,420 L.F of 12-inch through 72-inch storm drain pipe, 811 L.F. concrete curb and gutter, 2,048 L.F. ditch cleaning and regradiing, 2,491 S.Y. reinforced concrete ditch paving, 12 catch basins and one storm sewer manhole.  All work complete with appurtenances including soil erosion control and traffic control.

Upgrade two (2) existing pump stations including constructio of two (2) submersible duplex pump stations, connecting to the existing sewers and the demolition of the existing pump stations.

G. Ben Turnipseed Engineers provides a full range of civil engineering services helping communities and municipalities build and maintain their infrastructures. We specialize in water and sewerage system improvements while providing additional engineering services to support planned growth and development within the community.
Hydraulic engineering involves the flow of fluids, specifically surface water and groundwater. G. Ben Turnipseed Engineers performs modeling of both water and sewer flows; provides modeling and analysis for reservoir systems, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, storm water management and various other water resource modeling using WaterGEMS, H20Net, SWMM or similar software.
Engineering students and graduates will find a challenging opportunity working directly with project engineers while fulfilling the requirements of their co-operative or internship education programs.
